Reuse used powder

Don’t waste it! Use it again! Reduce the volume of wasted PA12 powder from HP machines (4200 and 5200 series) up to 90% and gain access to the cost effective PA 12 material at the same time. Recently we have added a new profile to our Sinterit Studio Advance software that allows you to print from wasted PA 12 powder. Thanks to that you can stop to gather a kilos of powder that has to be utilized and turn it into print-ready PA12. It is ecology and economy friendly at the same time!

Optimize printing costs

Benefit from printing with the most cost-effective powder available on the market. Used HP PA12 powder costs around €15, a 7 times less than the market price of PA12 per kilo. Compare the total build costs: €53.96 versus €78.39 for PA12 Industrial and €93.00 for PA12 Smooth (pack density 5.42%). That’s why it can take up to 3.5 years of printing to pay off the difference.

Compatible with Lisa X

Printing with used HP PA12 powder is just one of the many benefits of the Lisa X SLS compact 3D printer. The open environment and industrial design make Lisa X the best choice for prototyping, education, materials research and low-volume production. Lisa X not only allows you to switch between the most popular Sinterit powders such as PA12, PA11 or different types of TPU, it’s also open to the use of third party materials. And all this with a single, multi-material printer.
Lisa X is part of the Performance Set (also combined with Multi PHS, SLS sandblaster and vacuum cleaner) – the first ATEX certified SLS compact set on the market.

SLS quality

Choosing used PA12 powder doesn’t mean compromising on quality or usability. You can still benefit from all the features of SLS technology, such as the absence of support structures, good dimensional accuracy, moving parts or high surface quality.

The final quality of your prints will depend on a number of conditions, such as the degradation level of the PA12 used, the mixing process or the absorber used.

Important information

We offer a Sinterit Studio profile for printing from HP Used PA12 powder only. We do not offer used powder or mixing services. We will provide recommendations and instructions on how to prepare used powder to be print ready.

Powder preparation requires the use of a special absorber. We recommend the use of a colourimeter to check the level of degradation and a calibration print prior to the first print.
